Eaves Hall Wedding Photographers – Sarah & Paul
We always love working with fun couples like Sarah and Paul. And we always love returning to capture wedding photography at Eaves Hall. Situated in the idyllic Ribble Valley, Eaves Hall is a stunning Georgian mansion set in seven acres of beautiful gardens and grounds. This romantic and elegant wedding venue is utterly photogenic making it a favourite with us Lancashire wedding photographers.
On the day we woke to beautiful sunshine, and headed over to Eaves Hall to catch up with Sarah and her bridal party, to capture those all-important bridal prep images. We found the girls in Eaves Hall’s impressive bridal suite that was light and spacious. Spacious enough to comfortably accommodate Sarah, maid of honour Jen, bridesmaids Laura, Alice, Alice’s baby, Vicky, one of the flower girls Immy and Sara’s lovely mum Steph. Plus professional make-up artist Amy Lauren and professional hair stylist Alice Rose Bridal Hair. And us, the most unobtrusive wedding photographers in Lancashire!
Everybody was in great spirits, and we got some great images of the girls getting ready and enjoying a glass of bubbly.
As there’s two of us, we can literally be in two places at once. So, we caught up with Paul and his grooms party who were all ready and enjoying a game of snooker in Eaves Hall’s atmospheric wood panelled snooker room. Paul and his grooms party all looked very smart in dark blue three-piece suits with sage colour ties. The youngest member of the groom’s party looked especially smart and posed perfectly for the group images.

By this time, Sarah was ready and looked amazing. She wore a stunning dress with a plunging neckline, lace detailing on the bodice and a gorgeous low back. It had a satin skirt that fanned out in a trumpet shape giving Sarah the most amazing silhouette. Sarah bought the dress at Dotty Bridal Boutique. She teamed it with a full-length veil and a gorgeous bouquet of elegant white flowers with green foliage. Flowers on the day looked so elegant and were the clever creation of local florist Honeys Hideaway.
Sarah’s bridesmaids looked elegant in sage colour dresses and her three flower girls looked very sweet in white and performed their duties perfectly. Before heading off to the church for the ceremony, we captured a touching father seeing the bride moment.
The bridal party then headed off to St Helen’s Church in Clitheroe for the ceremony. With Sarah and her dad travelling in a stunning white Rolls Royce car hired from Aces Car Hire. St Helen’s Church is a pretty little church with an active congregation. It is situated in the idyllic village of Waddington.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful and included hymns, readings and a performance from Skelmanthorpe Brass Band which was simply delightful. St Helen’s church has the most ornate stained-glass windows that throw light around the church and make a stunning backdrop. As seen here in this image of Sarah and Paul signing the register.
Storytelling wedding photography at Eaves Hall
Afterwards, there was a chance for some group images of the wedding party outside the church and a fun confetti moment. Everybody then headed to Eaves Hall for the reception, with Sarah and Paul travelling in that gorgeous Rolls Royce.
On arrival guests enjoyed a drinks and canapes reception in Eaves Hall’s beautiful gardens, and were entertained by the Bridgwater String Quartet and magician Oliver Parker. We took our chance to get some great images of Sarah, Paul and their guests, in a combination of group images and candid ones of everybody mingling and enjoying themselves. The children loved Eaves Hall’s vast sweeping lawn, and we got some great images of them playing.
The wedding breakfast was held in Eave Hall’s stunning ballroom with its crystal chandeliered ceiling and antique mirrors adorning the walls. It’s an elegant space for a wedding celebration and looked simply stunning all dressed and ready to go. Styling on the day was by Creative Venue Styling who cleverly enhanced Eaves Hall’s classic and elegant look. Guests were seated first so that Sarah and Paul could receive a warm welcome when they entered.
There followed a sumptuous wedding breakfast prepared by Eaves Hall’s talented team of in-house chefs, followed by some very well received speeches. The last one was delivered by Paul’s best man who had prepared a full presentation to embarrass Paul. It went down a storm with everybody.
Creative and natural Eaves Hall wedding photography
After the meal, many guests headed back outside to soak up the sunshine or enjoyed a drink in the Eaves Hall bar. We quickly whisked Sarah and Paul away for a few minutes to take some romantic portrait images of them around the beautiful grounds of Eaves Hall and on their impressive first floor balcony. Here, take a look!
Evening celebrations started with the cutting of a gorgeous three-tiered wedding cake that had been designed and made by Kelly from Sugar Wishes Cakes. This was followed by a romantic first dance for Sarah and Paul. Not that they were alone for long. Sarah and Paul’s guests were up for a party, and the DJ from The DFC Experience made sure they got one.
It was lovely to see three generations on the same dancefloor. There was also a fun photobooth provided by Reflections Entertainment (who doesn’t love a photobooth) and the props went down very well. With floral Hawaiian style garlands and oversized glasses being the most popular look!
After getting some great images of everybody cutting shapes on the dancefloor, it was time for us to take our leave. Before heading off, we wanted one more image of Sarah and Paul, embracing outside Eaves Hall all lit up under the moonlight. It was a stunning image and the perfect one to close the story of their amazing day.
A wonderfully fun, family friendly wedding set in a timelessly elegant setting. Congratulations to Sarah and Paul for getting married and creating a beautiful day for yourselves and your family and friends to remember. And thank you for allowing us to tell the story of it with images and film. We loved it!
