Eaves Hall Wedding Photographers – Laura and Marc
As Lancashire wedding photographers, we always love returning to capture Eaves Hall wedding photography. And Laura and Marc’s gorgeous spring wedding at Eaves Hall gave us the chance to do just that.
Eaves Hall is a magnificent Georgian mansion that sits in 13 acres of immaculately kept gardens and grounds that overlook the beautiful Ribble Valley. Built in 1864, this stunning Grade II listed house has been beautifully renovated and restored to retain all of its luxurious period charm. Laura and Marc chose the perfect location for their spring wedding in Lancashire.
On the day, we headed there early so we could catch up with Laura and her bridal party who were getting ready in Eaves Hall’s large Kemple Suite. This beautiful suite is flooded with natural light so was the ideal place for Laura and her bridal party to convene and for us to get those all-important bridal preparation images.
The bridal party consisted of Laura, her mum Lorraine and bridesmaids Clare, Lauren, Danielle, Kate, Amy and Sanya. The atmosphere was electric and we got some great images of the girls having a great time and getting ready.
Laura looked stunning in a dress with a low scooped back, intricate lace detailing on the bodice and a column shape skirt. Laura bought the dress at Fairytale Brides in Whitefield and complemented it with a full veil that beautifully fanned out giving Laura a stunning silhouette in all of our images. Laura’s hair and make-up looked amazing courtesy of hair stylist Sarah from Ribble Valley Bridal and professional make-up artist Elle from The Beauty Barn by Elle.
Laura held a pretty bouquet of flowers that was made by local florist The Flower Tempest, who did all of the flowers on the day. Laura’s bridesmaids looked elegant in rose gold dresses, and there was a very sweet flower girl who performed her duties perfectly.
Before leaving for the ceremony, we captured a really sweet father seeing the bride moment for Laura’s dad Graham. Here, take a look!

We then headed downstairs to quickly get a couple of images of Marc and his grooms party before the ceremony started. The boys were looking very smart in traditional tails suits in petrol blue with light waistcoats. The grooms party consisted of Marc, Matt, George C, Chris, the three Alex’s (yes, count them, three!) and the Dads’ George and Graham.
The wedding ceremony was held in Eaves Hall’s Pendle Room and it looked amazing with twinkling chandeliers, fairy lit drapes across the ceiling and antique mirrors adorning the walls. The venue dressers on the day were Creative Venue Styling and they created something really magical for Laura and Marc. Natural light flooded in through the large period windows. Us Lancashire wedding photographers just love any additional natural light that we play with to create even more beautiful wedding photos.
Laura was walked down the aisle by her father Graham. There followed a really lovely ceremony. Laura and Marc were so happy and relaxed that it created a wonderfully joyous vibe that culminated in them walking back down the aisle a married couple to applause from all of their guests.
There followed a fun confetti moment outside at the grand entrance of the house. That we captured perfectly. Here, take a look!
Everybody then enjoyed an elegant drinks and canapes reception outside in Eaves Hall’s beautiful gardens. And we took our chance to get some great images of both the wedding party and some candid images of guests mingling, enjoying refreshments and playing lawn games.
With guests happily catered for, we whisked Laura and marc away for a few minutes for a mini photoshoot around Eaves Hall’s beautiful gardens. We got some really amazing images that we know that Laura and Marc were thrilled with. Here, take a look!
Storytelling wedding photography at Eaves Hall
We returned to find guests already seated for the wedding breakfast so that Laura and Marc could receive a rapturous welcome from everybody. The wedding breakfast was held back in The Pendle Room that looked amazing all dressed for dinner. Tables were dressed with crisp white linen with floral arrangements and candles in candelabras. Chairs were dressed with gold sashes. It all looked so elegant.
Speeches were before food which is always a good idea and were delivered by Clare, Graham, Marc and Alex. They were very well received by everybody. After the speeches Laura and Marc cut their wedding cake. A beautiful three-tiered white wedding cake decorated with white roses and gold leaves it looking amazing and was the clever creation of cake makers Champagne Cakes. There followed a delicious wedding breakfast prepared by Eaves Hall’s talented team of in-house chefs.
After the meal, as the weather was so lovely. Many guests spilled back outside to enjoy the sunshine and play lawn games. We got some really lovely candid images of guests chilling out and enjoying themselves that really suited our style of documentary wedding photography. There was also a fun bouquet throwing moment!
It was golden hour, when the sun is at its lowest creating a soft hazy glow perfect for romantic portrait images. So, we got some great images of Laura and Marc on the lawn with the dappled sun shining through the trees in the background. Here, take a look!
Evening celebrations started with a romantic first dance for Laura and Marc to their favourite song ‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence none the richer’ to live musical accompaniment from Alex Birtwell Entertainment.
Creative and natural Eaves Hall wedding photography
Not that these guys were on the dancefloor alone for long. Their guests were definitely up for a party and with live music, a DJ, a fun photobooth (who doesn’t love a photobooth) and fresh pizza provided by Dough Boy, they had everything they needed for an epic evening wedding celebration.
Later in the evening there was a gorgeous father daughter dance for Laura and her dad Graham, that was followed by an impressive display of line dancing from their pair of them, both in Stetson hats. At the end of the dances, Laura and Graham laughed and hugged and it felt like the perfect image to close the story of Laura and Marc’s Day.
