Engagement Photography in Manchester with Mizla & Richie
Mizla and Richie’s wedding at Manchester Museum was yet another casualty of the COVID-19 restrictions and has been postponed to 2021 when they and their family and friends are looking forward to safely celebrating together.
So as not to let the day pass without mention, Mizla and Richie opted to have an engagement photoshoot on what would have been their wedding day 26th September 2019. This way they still got to celebrate their union on the day they had intended. (though in a smaller way than they’d originally planned!)
They chose the historical, fashionable and green area of Castlefield in the Deansgate area for their Manchester engagement photoshoot. Rich in Roman and industrial history, it’s home to a Roman Fort, a network of canals, old mills mixed with new bars, exciting restaurants and lots of green spaces making it a culturally rich and tranquil area in the middle of the city.
Natural engagement photography in Manchester
We found in 2019 postponed weddings caused an increase in Manchester engagement photography. Though investing in engagement photography has always been a good idea. Couples often say to us that they feel uncomfortable being photographed or that they never like pictures of themselves. An engagement shoot is an opportunity to fix all of these worries. So that it won’t be an issue on your wedding day. It’s a chance for couples to get used to me photographing them and if they need it, I can give them tips to help them to be more comfortable in front of the camera.
Many of my previous Manchester engagement photographs go on to be used as wedding stationery like invitations, guest books and thank you cards.
As experienced Manchester engagement photographers, our style is always natural and authentic. I wanted Mizla and Richie to relax and forget about the camera. This approach allowed me to capture them as they actually are, interacting with each other in an effortless and natural way. Nothing posed or forced, but as you can see, looking their absolute best! The result was natural and authentic images that they were thrilled with.
Creative manchester engagement photography
The thing I love best about shooting engagement photography in Castlefield is that the industrial backdrop of steel bridges and Victorian brickwork is the perfect juxtaposition of a romantic portrait image of two people in love and it works brilliantly. Here take a look!
I really enjoyed Mizla and Richie’s engagement photoshoot in Manchester’s Castlefield area. And now I’m looking forward to capturing their wedding photography at Manchester Museum later in the year.
