Farm Wedding Photographers
As busy Shropshire wedding photographers, we’re lucky enough to frequently get to capture farm weddings and Megan and Philips summer farm wedding was a masterclass on how to get a farm wedding just right.
On the day we woke to glorious sunshine and headed straight to the bridal preparation to catch up with Megan and her bridal party. They consisted of Megan, her mum Rose, maid of honour Freya, bridesmaids Jess and Lucy and the two gorgeous flower girls Georgia and Annabell. The atmosphere was buzzing and there were a lot of gifts given and a bit of bubbly to start the celebrations early.
Megan looked stunning in a beautiful lace detail dress with a low scooped back and an elegant fish tale shape skirt that gave her an amazing silhouette. Megan bought the dress at J&J Designs in Newcastle Under Lyme. Her hair was exquisitely styled in a loose up do by a hairstylist from Hairspray in Market Drayton. And her make-up was immaculate courtesy of make-up artist Beauty by Lucinda.
Megan’s look was complemented by a gorgeous bouquet of flowers made by Tamaryns Treasures, who did all the flowers on the day. Megan’s bridesmaids looked elegant in pale green dresses.
Before leaving for the church, we captured a really special father seeing the bride moment for Megan and her dad Chris.
Experienced Farm Photographers
As there’s two of us, we get to literally be in two places at the same time. So, we also caught up with Philip and his grooms party who were already at the church with some of wedding transport in the form of two tractors. Philip and his grooms party all looked very smart in blue tails suits with grey waistcoats and brown brogue shoes. And we got a chance to get some great images of them posing in front of the tractors.
The grooms party consisted of Philip, his dad Colin, best men James and Will, groomsmen, Matt, Will, Rob, Richard, Will and Harry and the sweetest of pageboys George and Henry. Yes, you did read it right. There were three Will’s in there!
Now, it’s always great to meet and work with other professionals in the wedding industry. And this was certainly the case working with Laura from Vision Wave Weddings who was there to capture the wedding film.
The wedding ceremony was held at St John the Baptist Church in the pretty Shropshire village of Ightfield. And Megan travelled there in style in a vintage car with her dad Chris. They hired the car from Anthony James Wedding Cars.

Storytelling Farm wedding photography
After a lovely ceremony, there was a fun confetti moment outside that we captured perfectly. Everybody then headed to the family farm for the reception.
On arrival everybody enjoyed an elegant drinks and canapes reception provided by Bars and Events Company Hudson Rose Bars and caterers Green Olive Catering and were entertained with live music from Daniel Sings. With guests happily catered for we were able to get some great group images of the wedding party posing in front of the haybales. As well as some natural candid images of guests enjoying themselves.
We then whisked Megan and Philip away for a few minutes for a romantic photoshoot. The sun was out, the sky couldn’t have been bluer and we got some simply stunning images. Here, take a look!
The wedding breakfast was held in a gorgeous luxury marquee that had been dressed exquisitely by venue dressers Tamaryns Treasures. Guests were seated first so that Megan and Philip could receive a rapturous welcome. Celebrations started with Megan and Philip cutting a delicious three-tiered wedding cake made by Shells Bakes and Cakes. There followed some delicious food, some very well received speeches and more live musical entertainment from Daniel Sings that had everybody up and waving their napkins over their head, there was even an impromptu conga line!
Creative and natural Farm wedding photographers
After the meal the weather still gorgeous so guests spilled back outside to enjoy drinks and to soak up the sunshine and we took the chance to get some lovely candid images of guests relaxing and enjoying themselves.
Evening entertainment started with a romantic first dance for Megan and Philip. Which was followed by their guests storming the dancefloor and picking the pair of them up. There was a live set from band The Nashville Heat who played party anthems in a folk style and had everybody up dancing and singing along. This was followed by a DJ from Tecs Decs who made sure the dancefloor remained full all night. And we took some really fun dancefloor images.
