Wedding Photography at Manchester Hall – Vicky & Mark

We always love returning to shoot wedding photography at Manchester Hall and we always love working with great couples like Vicky and Mark.

Ask any Manchester wedding photographer and they’ll tell you that shooting wedding photography at Manchester Hall is a dream booking. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. We’ll get back to all the reasons why we love shooting Manchester Hall wedding photography later. Let’s start at the beginning of Vicky and Mark’s day.

Vicky got ready at Manchester Hall and was in safe hands with her bridal team around her. There was mum Kathryn and maid of honour Sam and bridesmaids Katie and Heather. There was also a little bubbly and lots of laughs which is exactly as it should be.

Having two of us really useful when capturing wedding preparations as we can be in two places at once. This meant we were also able to catch up with Mark at the same time who was having a drink in one of Manchester Hall’s bars with his grooms’ party Ian and Barry (best men) and Vicky’s brother Daniel (groomsman) along with Mark’s mum who was there keeping them all in check.

Vicky looked gorgeous in her dress that she bought from Forever Yours in Cheshire. It had a real fairy tale look with lace detail, a stunning veil and a cut that gave Vicky the most perfect silhouette in all of our images of her. Complimented with hair and make-up by Absolutely Flawless Vicky looked amazing.

It was a rainy day but guests barely noticed. And that’s one of the many things we love about shooting wedding photography at Manchester Hall is that it is so luxurious and opulent inside that you really don’t notice what’s going on outside.

The wedding ceremony was held in Manchester Hall’s beautiful Museum room. It’s central marble fireplace, chandeliers and beautiful paintwork made a fantastic backdrop in all of our images of Vicky, Mark and their guests. And we loved the natural light that flooded in through the large feature windows (us Manchester wedding photographers love having lots of natural light to play with)

As everybody enjoyed a drinks reception we took the opportunity to take some great shots of Vicky, Mark and their wedding party with images ranging from romantic portrait, formal group shots to spontaneous and fun. Every inch of Manchester Hall makes a perfect backdrop in wedding photographs. A break in the rain meant we could also pop outside and get some images of Vicky, Mark and their wedding party of the steps of Manchester Hall.

Vicky and Mark’s reception was held in Manchester Hall’s majestic Golbourne Suite. With its giant chandelier, vast domed ceilings and antique mirrored walls it is a breathtakingly beautiful room and with its own exclusive bar and parquet dancefloor was the perfect room for Vicky and Mark’s wedding reception. It had been beautiful dressed by florist and venue dressers Laurel Weddings. Pianist Emily Owen played during the reception meal which was from a menu from Manchester Hall’s very talented chefs.

Now we’ve seen some wedding speeches in our time and we have to say these ones were up there with the best of them. There were tears of emotion and laughter all the way through. Highlights for us were the best men dancing and the exchanging of Man U and City football shirts. If that doesn’t perfectly represent the union of two Manchester families then we don’t know what does!

After the wedding reception there was another perfectly timed break in the rain and we got the chance to whisk Vicky and Mark outside to take some romantic portrait shots of them at the entrance of Manchester Hall. These images were amongst our favourites of the day. Here take a look!

Evening celebrations started with the cutting of a gorgeous cake by those clever people at The Cupped Cake and was followed by a fun and romantic first dance. It wasn’t long before Vicky and Mark were joined on the dancefloor by their guests. This lot were really up for a party and the image of Vicky and Mark having fun on the dance floor with their loved ones seemed the perfect image to close the story of Vicky and Mark’s lovely wedding day.
