A Titanic Hotel Liverpool Wedding
As busy Liverpool wedding photographers, we always love returning to the Liverpool Titanic Hotel to shoot a wedding. Sarah and Danny chose the perfect venue for their summer wedding. But we’ll back to all the reasons why we love shooting wedding photography at Titanic Hotel Liverpool later. Let’s start at the beginning of Sarah and Danny’s day.
On the day, we arrived early so we could capture some great preparations images. Sarah was with her bridal party getting ready in a beautiful suite at Titanic Hotel. Sarah’s bridal party consisted of her, her mum Jane, Danny’s mum Polly, and her three bridesmaids.
Danny was getting ready at the house nearby and had his dad Thibault and his best man Peter on hand. So, we got a few images of them too. As there’s two of us, we’re able to be in two places at the same time which allowed us to capture both the brides and the groom’s preparations.
Sarah looked amazing in her distinctive dress that had a one shoulder top, a gorgeous fitted fishtail shape, with stunning layers of tulle at the bottom creating a dreamy silhouette that looked amazing in all of our images.

The wedding ceremony was held at Liverpool parish church. Also known as the church of our lady and St Nicholas. Liverpool Parish Church stands at the heart of the business centre of Liverpool city, looking across the River Mersey, and adjacent to the Liverpool Waterfront.
There has been a place of worship on this site for more than 750 years. It is a truly iconic
Liverpool building and a spectacular location for a Liverpool wedding ceremony. Churches are often dark spaces and can feel cramped but Liverpool Parish Church is large and flooded with natural light so we were able to capture some simply stunning images of Sarah and Danny’s lovely wedding ceremony. Here, take a look.
After the ceremony there was a chance to take some great images on the green outside the church. One of the many reasons why we love being Liverpool wedding photographers is that the city’s stunning architecture provides us with beautiful backdrops. And as the sun shone all day, it made the images even better.
As guests headed to Titanic Hotel for the reception, me, Sarah and Danny took in a quick mini photoshoot in the docks area on the way. I particularly loved the images we got of them on Bascule Bridge. Here, take a look.
Great, now we get to talk about why we love shooting Titanic Hotel wedding photography. This 4-star hotel is set within Stanley Dock and sits over the River Mersey was part of the Port of Liverpool. This once busy warehouse has been transformed into a hotel full of character that preserves the charm of the original Victorian architecture combined beautifully with contemporary design.

On arrival everybody enjoyed a drinks reception and we took our chance to capture some great candid images of Sarah and Danny’s guests. We also got some great photos of West Bay, one of two venue spaces at Titanic Hotel. West bay is a restored warehouse design with stone floors, steel pillars and vaulted brick ceiling. It has floor to ceiling windows with views of the docks. The perfect Liverpool wedding venue.
The room was dressed exquisitely and we must mention the flowers at Sarah and Danny’s wedding because they were stunning and were the clever creation of florist Karen McGrath.
Sarah and Danny were rapturously welcomed into their wedding reception by their guests before everybody enjoyed a wedding meal provided by the in-house catering team at Titanic Hotel. After the meal there were some very well received speeches.
Now we love little quirks at weddings as they tell us something of our couples’ personalities, and we found the caterpillar wedding cakes delightful. A really fun touch. Who doesn’t love a caterpillar cake!
Natural and creative Liverpool wedding photography
Evening celebrations started with the cutting of the caterpillar cakes before Sarah and Danny took to the dancefloor for a romantic first dance. They weren’t alone for long. Sarah and Danny’s guests were really up for a party and DJ Karl Roscoe was on hand to make sure they got one. And we bravely took to the dancefloor to capture some fantastic images. The perfect images to close the story of Sarah and Danny’s gorgeous wedding day.
Congratulations to Sarah and Danny for getting married and creating such an amazing wedding for yourselves. Working with lovely couples like Sarah and Danny and getting to shoot wedding photography at Titanic Hotel, are just two of the reasons why we love being Liverpool wedding photographers.
