Walkden Gardens Family Photographer
In late August we were reunited with Laura and Liam, whose Odd Fellows wedding we photographed back in 2018. It’s always great catching up with clients and getting to see meet new members of the family. We had met Lola the greyhound before so it was a chance to meet Laura and Liam’s baby James. We do love seeing our couples again for family photoshoots once the patter of tiny feet appears.
Walkden Gardens in Sale is 5 acres in size and was inspired by the famous 20th century garden at Hidcote Manor in Gloucestershire. It is characterised by long alleys with vistas, a series of smaller gardens rooms like the Japanese Garden and the Fuchsia Garden. It also has the impressive Theatre Lawn where people can enjoy outdoor productions and screenings.
The beautifully maintained gardens are surrounded by tall beech hedges and a wealth of different trees that do a great job of blocking out the noise of the traffic. Giving the residents of Sale a beautiful oasis in heart of the town.
Beautiful Family Photography at Walkden Gardens
James is just a few months old so it was the perfect time for a family photoshoot. Babies develop so quickly in the first year so it’s always a good idea to take the time to create a keepsake.
We were going for a natural unposed look of a family day out. We find that engaging children and babies with play with their parents relaxes them, this in turn relaxes their parents and allow us to get authentic images that really capture the personalities and essence of the families we work with.
And as you can see from these images of Laura, Liam, baby James and Lola, nothing looks posed or forced. We just captured a young family enjoying one another’s company.
We got some really lovely images around the historic Dovecote building, in the Botanical Gardens and in the Japanese Garden. At one point, we took a break from walking and got a picnic blanket out. The images on the picnic blanket are amongst our favourites of the shoot. You can see that Lola and baby James already have a special bond. Here, take a look!
Creative and Natural Walkden Gardens Family Photographer
We had a lovely time with the Walker family and managed to get some really beautiful images that we know Laura and Liam are thrilled with. Images that they can treasure and then one day pass on to baby James.
